Our Team

Tom Robinson – Director of Thomas Robinson Consulting Ltd.

Tom has worked with services for people who have developmental disabilities for over 30 years. This has included work in residential services, vocational programs, family support and respite, recreational/ leisure services, college instruction and regional health promotion. He has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology Tom is the Director of Thomas Robinson Consulting Ltd.  which began in 1994 and follows an outreach model.

Juanita Hagman – Program Coordinator for Thomas Robinson Consulting Ltd. and Northern Regional Advisor for SCDP

Juanita has worked with children needing extra supports and their families for over 30+ years.  Since 2000 she has worked with Thomas Robinson Consulting Ltd both as a Supported Child Development Consultant and Program Coordinator. Over the past 7 years, Juanita has been supporting SCD programs throughout the north as the Northern SCDP Advisor. Juanita has a Bachelor of Education and Early Childhood Education and Special Needs Certifications.

Charlene Duncan – NW Aboriginal SCDP Consultant for Moricetown and the Hazeltons & Community Consultant for the Behaviour Intervention Program.   Gitxsan Territory and  Wet'suwet'en: Hagwilget. 

Charlene is from the Gitksan Nation.  She is Lax Gibuu (Wolf) and she belongs to the House of Spookxw.  She lives in the Gitksan/Wet’suwet’en community of Hagwilget which is where she raised her two children and her niece. Charlene’s background is in Early Childhood Education with Citations in Infant/Toddler and Special Needs.  Although she has worked with children for many years in various capacities her most recent and most memorable job was teaching Nursery/Preschool at the Wit’suwit’en Child and Family Centre (WCFC) in the Wet’suwet’en community of Moricetown.  Charlene made the transition to TRCL’s ASCD Program in January 2007.

Sharon Mason - Consultant for NW Supported Child and Youth, Autism Support and Child in Care Programs for Hazeltons and area.  Gitxsan Territory and  Wet'suwet'en: Hagwilget. 

Sharon is a licensed Early Childhood Educator as well as Special Education Assistant and has been working in this field for over 25 years.  Sharon has been with TRCL for 8 years both as a support worker and consultant. Sharon is dedicated to the inclusion of all children in the communities of Hazelton and area.

Taffy Wale – Consultant for NW SCDP for Vanderhoof and Fort St. James

Taffy has been working with children and families since 1993.  Her background is in Early Childhood Education with Infant/Toddler and Special Needs Diplomas. Taffy joined TRCL in February 2009, and works as a Consultant in the Nechako/Stuart region.   

Monique Brodie – Consultant for NW SCDP for the Lakes District and Houston and Aboriginal SCDP for Houston

Monique is a licensed Early Childhood Educator. Since 2005 Monique has worked in Aboriginal daycare settings in various positions including daycare worker, preschool supervisor, and daycare manager. She is a parent of six children, one of whom has autism spectrum disorder. She worked for TRCL as a support worker in 2011; and became a consultant in 2012. 

Allison Hexter - Consultant for NW Supported Child and Youth Program in Houston, Autism Support from Smithers to Fort St. James and Consultant for Behaviour Intervention Programs

Allison is a Certified Behaviour Interventionist who has been working in the Autism field for the past 10 years.  She recently moved from the Sunshine Coast to Smithers where she joined TRCL in 2016 and has been able to expand her expertise into other areas of developmental disabilities.  Allison has studied at SFU and UBC in the educational field and has attended UCLA where she became a Certified PEERS® Consultant. Currently Allison covers the Smithers, Telkwa and Houston areas as an Autism Support Consultant as well as a Consultant in the Houston Supported Child and Youth Program.

Christina Becker - Consultant for NW SCDP and NW Aboriginal SCDP for Smithers and Telkwa

Christina has worked with children for the past 7+ years.  She recently completed her Bachelor of Child and Youth Care after completing her diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care with certificates in Infant/Toddler and Special Needs.  She has worked for TRCL as a Support Worker since 2011 and as a Consultant since January 2017.
